Nutanix
Founded in California in 2009, Nutanix focuses on hyper-converged infrastructure software solutions that enable application workloads in all environments (on-premises, private cloud, public cloud, hybrid). The characteristics of the Nutanix architecture allow it to provide storage, networking, computing and security services customarily provided by complex traditional computer architectures. The solutions are available as software and are also integrated by some server vendors as turnkey appliances.
Hyper-converged infrastructure, of which Nutanix is a pioneer, makes it easy to deliver the services associated with it: advanced storage services (in block, file or object mode); data protection, continuity and disaster recovery services; the ability to move data from a public cloud to a private cloud (and vice versa); and the management and automation of various lifecycle and application tasks.
But that’s not all: Nutanix’s range of application services has continued to expand, thanks in part to various acquisitions, to include cost control and security compliance tools.
The company has also added containerisation and container orchestration capabilities, a platform as a service solution (especially for applications at the edge of artificial intelligence and machine learning), an integrated desktop as a service and a virtual desktop infrastructure that enables virtual desktops to run on-demand in large public clouds and on the Nutanix infrastructure.
Hyper-converged infrastructure: let’s take stock:
There is a growing need for organisations to run their IT systems on infrastructures that combine quality of performance, security and flexibility with ease of deployment and management – while keeping a close eye on system costs. No wonder a growing number of organisations of all sizes and in a wide range of industries have already deployed hyper-converged systems, and many more are looking for the budget to do so as soon as possible.
WeAreProject harnesses the power of Nutanix’s enterprise cloud offerings to create and manage powerful multi-cloud architectures that simplify IT management and improve operational efficiency. These fully software-based tools gather cloud data centre resources into a complete, high-performance, scalable and resilient infrastructure stack that integrates computing, virtualisation, storage, networking and security with enough power to run any application. As business needs grow, additional nodes can be easily added while maintaining consistently high performance. The goal is to eliminate shared storage for all virtualised systems.
Easily deploy and manage virtual desktops
We help organisations with digital transformation and hybrid cloud adoption by providing hyper-converged infrastructure, multi-cloud governance and cost optimisation. Wherever users are, we ensure that they have secure access to the applications and files they need to get the job done.
